Equipment & Technology

We use only the latest and most technologically advanced equipment

Because we use cutting-edge technology and equipment, we are able to deliver efficiency and quality to our finished packaging products. The primary pieces of equipment we use for the production of custom printed boxes for food, automotive, and other industries include a Heidelberg Topsetter, two six‐color Komori offset printing presses, Bobst die cutters, Omega and Bobst glue lines, a window patcher, a Marquip Ward sheeter, and a Maxson sheeter. We stay abreast of new advances in this equipment so our production lines can run as efficiently as possible.

Below is more information about our equipment:

FujiFilm Top Setter

Our Fujifilm Topsetter allows us to use plate imaging via computer-to-plate technology. Computer-to-Plate (CtP) is the leading platemaking technology. It requires platesetters to remain in top condition day after day, under continuous use.

Koenig and Bauer Offset Printing Presses

Protective Packaging prints on two Koenig and Bauer 28 x 40 sheet-fed offset presses. The first press was installed in 2019, and the second in 2022. Both presses are state-of-the-art and can run up to 6 colors and aqueous coating.

Bobst Die Cutters

Protective Packaging got its start in die cutting. We have six Bobst die cutters that can run up to 7,000 sheets/hr.

Koenig and Bauer and Bobst Glue Lines

Our Omega and Bobst folder/gluers will fold and glue your boxes, assuring you the quality you and your customers expect. Our capabilities include straight-line, automatic bottoms, 4 & 6-point designs, and beverage carriers. We also have a window machine that has the ability to place a window in your carton so you can view the product inside the carton.

Marquip Ward and Maxson Sheeters

Our in-house Marquip and Maxon sheeters can accommodate up to 65-inch wide rolls.

Kohmann Window Patcher

Our in house Kohmann window patcher can run up to 7,000 blanks per hour.
